Migrate from 199 HP ProCurve/3COM to Cisco network equipment using Collapsed Core designs on 25 branch offices and 2 Data Centers across North and Middle Holland.

Assignment:
• Design and implement Split Datacenter design
• Design and implement a ring topology based on OSPF
• Design and implement LAN architecture on all locations
• Change management for proper handling branch migrations
• Set up migration plans per branch office
• Lead migration teams
• Set up progress reports for Program management
• Maintain communication with the customer
• Train internal network and system administrators from project to operations



NETWORK ENGINEER IMPLEMENTATION KPN DWDM RING

Implementation of 1 GigabitEthernet based on a DWDM solution in a ring topology i.c.w. Cisco network equipment for 10 branch offices plus 2 Datacenters to replace KPN epacity and also at the same time implement redundancy.

Assignment:
• Design and implement DWDM ring topology based on OSPF
• Design and implement DWDM coupling between two Data Centers for redundancy
• Configure new network equipment
• Lead migration teams
• Maintain communication with the customer
• Support subcontractors during implementation
• Coordinate relocation activities of DWDM
• Train and handover project to internal network administrators



NETWORK ENGINEER STANDARDIZATION CISCO CLUSTER

Standardization of the Cisco Firewall cluster and load balancing services (Cisco ASA 5540 and Citrix NetScaler MSPX 5550) in a Split Datacenter design

Assignment:
• Design and implement new Object Identification
• Design and implement new Enhanced ACL's on interfaces and Site-to-Site VPN's
• Design and implement Exchange 2010 load balancing on Citrix NetScalers
• Design and implement Citrix XenApp load balancing on Citrix NetScalers
• Inventory current firewall infrastructure
• Maintain communication with the customer
• Train and escort internal network administrators from project to operations



NETWORK ENGINEER NEW BUILD HIGH-AVAILABILITY LOCATIONS

Realization of a high-availability network infrastructure for the 10 new intensive care units.
The infrastructure consisted of about 91 access switches, 6 core switches and 196 Access Points.

Assignment:
• Design dimensioning on the switches for Private GSM, CCTV, Nursing Call Systems, Person Search Installations
• Configure and implement switches (Cisco 3750x en 4900M)
• Configure and implement Enterprise grade WiFi (Cisco WLC 5508 in combination with Prime)
• Configure Monitoring System (ZenOss)
• Support suppliers during and after completion of the new infrastructure.



NETWORK ENGINEER IMPLEMENTATION LAN-TO-LAN COUPLING

Realize the LAN-to-LAN coupling between a Mental Health and Addiction Care center and a center for Services and supports for people with disabilities to access the shared Electronic Patient Records.

• Design and implement a safe LAN-to-LAN coupling
• Configure new network equipment for the LAN coupling
• Inventory current LAN infrastructure
